Whether you are enjoying the world-famous hot springs or climbing the vertical ice in the Ouray Ice Park, Ouray County Emergency Medical Services (OCEMS) is ready to assist in an emergency.
Services & Location
OCEMS is an advanced life support emergency medical service (EMS) system, consisting of paid staff and dedicated volunteers. We cover the Ouray County area with two stations: Ouray and Ridgway.
Our district covers unique terrain including populated communities, unincorporated areas, state parks, national forests, and miles of back country roads and trails. In addition to EMS, we also provide vehicle extrication and hazardous materials medical response. We assist the Ouray Mountain Rescue team with technical, high-angle, and swiftwater rescue operations as well.
