[ARCHIVED] Press Release: County Road 5 Litigation 01-30-2019

A lawsuit was filed in District Court by Karp Neu Hanlon, P.C., representing real

property owners on County Road 5, against the Ouray County Commissioners on

January 25, 2019. After scheduling an emergency hearing on a temporary restraining

order motion filed by the plaintiffs for January 28, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., District Court

Judge James Steven Patrick entered an order adopting a stipulation requiring the

parties abide by the 2017-2018 winter maintenance agreement (WMA), with minor

changes through the pendency of the litigation. The parties were ordered to file the

interim agreement within seven days. County personnel are not authorized to comment
